These are basically used in areas where the AI is overloaded with to many objects or where the collision of the objects are to close together for the AI to think they can walk through. Placing these act like guidelines for the AI to see a clear path on where they want to reach. They may ignore these if they think there is a better or quickier route which is normally wrong.
The yellow areas are enterance points for the AI and the Red is the path that the AI will attempt to follow.
